At the start of 2023, Centene Corporation changed the Pharmacy Benefits Manager for its sub-brands from CVS to Express Scripts (ESI). The ask from the company was to take this moment of transition to create tools that improved the user experience. The ask was decided to be a tool that allows members to look up the estimated cost of their prescription and compare it to generic and alternative prescription prices on a “by Pharmacy” basis. The goal was to allow members to find the best price in their area.
